2010 Scrip Program at Calvary
***Ordering dates are the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.***
Praises! Calvary families and friends are continuing their support by using using “scrip” for their regular shopping needs.
Remember: 100% of the profits go into Calvary's general fund to be used numerous ways with 10% being tithed to the Holly Area Youth Assistance Program . For more information about this wonderful organization that helps Holly, Michigan youths, click on HAYA.
What is scrip? Scrip is a term used for national and local prepaid cards for gas, food, prescriptions, drugstores, shopping, restaurants, clothing, services, and much, much more!
Example: Your family will need prescriptions and items from CVS or Rite Aid here in Holly, or other areas. Order/pay for a $25 card(s) for CVS (or for Rite Aid) from our scrip program volunteer, Ron Pease. Use the $25 CVS (or Rite Aid) card when you pay for your prescription and other items. If you did not spend all of the $25, the card will carry a balance for future purchases. You pay $25 for the gift card, and it’s worth $25.
The great part about using scrip is that families are spending the same amount of money for items they need, and Calvary United Methodist Church earns 2% to 25% on each card’s value.
“Shop with Scrip!” Ordering dates are the first and third Sundays of each month at our church. Take a retailer list/order sheet from the scrip bulletin board in the church hallway, fill it out, and pay with cash or a check. If you have questions, ask Ron or Ellen Pease at church or call them at 248-369-8022 (Holly number). The complete nine page list of merchants who support the scrip program can be found at
www.glscrip.com under retailer list or ask Ron for a copy.
P.S. Other local providers who support our scrip program are Mary Kay Cosmetics (Shirley Brendel), One Stop Computer Consulting & Repair (David Pease), Holly Candle Shoppe, Zanie Janie's Simply Coffee (Holly), VG's Food Center, Little Professor Bookstore,Halo Burger, French Laundry, Cottage Pizza, and Garage Sale 360 (resale shop).
Note: Armstead Automotive has its own fund raising program for area churches and schools. (See John/Belinda Armstead for more details or call them at 248-634-0399.) Thank you!
